Happy New Years!

so i have a song that just doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but i'm loving the idea of it. i was playing it today and it hit me in the face. it needs a piano part over it. i don't play piano. i also heard a lady's voice. then a drum part came to me.

girl+piano= nina

so i'm gonna call up my girl and get her in the studio for a weekend really soon.

i've decided to give myself a deadline.

my deadline will be June 2010

i'm planning to have the CD done and pressed before that month and have a CD release show.

i'll have to come up with a date and what venue ill do it at.

i'll keep you all up to date on that, when i get all the details figured out.

ok.

i have 3 songs in the process. 1 song i have already started recording called Bridge View. that song was played live once at the Inquiring Minds Bookstore in Saugerties, NY. so maybe a few will recognize it.

when i get about 5 songs in my pocket i'll start trying to play some little shows in the area. i'll let you all know when it comes to that.

i'm also going to try to figure out how to get a music player or something up on this blogg, so when i get a song recorded i can put it up for everyone to check out.

i'm going to be working on a solo album with the artist name About Drowning, it will include original pieces that i will be writing/creating. i don't really have a clue on how the finished piece will turn out, but willing to step out of my box of comfort. i would also like to work with other artists as well.
